47 % still use debit? Mind blowing. Still have a lot of teaching to do.

Can do all the teaching that you want. There are a lot of people that can’t restrain themselves from spending when they have available credit, so they stick to debit.

Took a closer look here, looks like they’ve pegged Miles Plus Cash at 0.5cpp (USD) that you can redeem Asia Miles towards the cost of a cash fare. Not sure it’s worth the pixels for a post if I’m being honest.

My daughter, 18, first year university, no part-time job due to covid, got the Amex Gold with nothing more than a phone call confirming identity. It was my 5,000 point Gold card referral that she used, added me a free supplementary cardholder for another 5,000 points and I get her to the $1500 minimum spend for the 25,000 bonus points. So all-in-all 35,000 points for the one sign-up. Also, now all her MR points can be added to Aeroplan family sharing when needed. Get em’ in this game young!
