The Air Miles loyalty program will be replaced by Scene+ at Sobeys-affiliated grocery stores starting in August of this year.
Moreover, the Scotiabank American Express credit cards have put on elevated welcome bonuses to celebrate the occasion, while several Scotiabank Scene+ credit cards will also increase their earning rates at Sobeys-affiliated grocery stores too.

Nothing here for me, I don’t travel and dont use credit anymore. This program is way to confusing and for only wealthy people, nothing for people who want to get money off their groceries. Will being shopping at places that take optimum.
Fortunately for non-wealthy people the above is not true at all. You can earn Scene points at Sobeys in the same way you used to earn Air Miles, just show your membership card to the cashier (or the app on your phone if you’re fancy). And you can redeem points for money off your groceries just the same. In fact, the value you get for a grocery discount is the same as you get for travel.
If you get into travel later, PC Optimum currently makes you pay for an “Insider” subscription ($119 per year) or have one of their credit cards before you’re allowed to use their points for Travel. Scene+ has neither restriction.
