We’ve officially entered the golden age of earning Aeroplan points.
The incredible opportunity to convert the Air Canada Buddy Pass into 30,000 Aeroplan points has been extended on an indefinite basis, all while record-high welcome bonuses are popping up on the American Express Aeroplan and Membership Rewards cards.
In this video, we’ll summarize all of the juicy earning opportunities we have on hand at the moment, showing you how any Canadian household can reach a balance of 1,000,000 Aeroplan points with a well-thought-out strategy, all while boosting their travel experience through the associated credit card benefits.
But we’ll also ask the question – does it even make sense to rack up so many Aeroplan points in anticipation of future trips? What are the chances that Aeroplan points get devalued during the post-pandemic travel boom?

what devaluation? With dynamic pricing it just devalues as the availability goes down. As people start travelling and seats get tight the points cost will increase. Just look at the cost to Australia. The reduction in routes is only going to makes seat availability much worse and therefore points redemptions.
Hopefully the government bailout will force AC to open up their regional routes again. ATM I almost need a boat to go anywhere.
The Australia costs are currently inflated due to travel restrictions: https://wp.princeoftravel.com/blog/new-aeroplan-what-still-doesnt-look-right/
Part of the financial support package involved restoring routes to key communities, so I’d expect you guys in NL to start seeing more connectivity later this year.
