Maintain or Elevate Your Status in 2025

If you’ve received this offer, it’s absolutely worth considering in the overall context of your 2025 Aeroplan Elite Status strategy.

If you’re looking to requalify for Aeroplan Elite Status in 2025, head over to the “Status” tab on your Aeroplan dashboard to see where you currently stand.

If you’re close to reaching the next SQM, SQS, or SQD threshold that’d bump you up to the next tier of status, it’s certainly worth considering making a booking with this promotion, as long as you won’t otherwise qualify through flying for the rest of the year.

If you find yourself in this situation, start shopping around for fares to eligible destinations.

As a reminder, you can also earn SQM and SQS through spending on an Aeroplan co-branded credit card.

You’ll earn 1,000 SQM and 1 SQS for every $10,000 (CAD) spent on a core card, such as the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite* Card, the CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card, or the American Express Aeroplan Card, and you’ll earn 1,000 SQM and 1 SQS for every $5,000 (CAD) spent on a premium card, such as the American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card, the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Card, or the CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege Card.

The offers are targeted and vary widely. I received a 5000 SQM offer ; my spouse only a 400 SQD offer. For Ironcat, I believe both the booking and travel need to be within the timeframe; existing bookings would not qualify.

Unclear whether the booking has to be made between Sep 19 and Oct 31, or only the flight has to be completed in that time frame. What about those with existing bookings?

I received the same offer as Ed. I am wondering: if I redeem points at the E-store for an Air Canada gift card and the. Use it for a flight: will I get SQDs and SQMs for the flight as well as the SQMS as per this offer, for the redemption at the E-store? I recognize I would lose the benefit of my CC insurances but I am working on my status for 2024. Thoughts?

Yes, you’d earn SQM and SQD if you paid for a flight with a gift card.
