I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi using Hilton Honors free night certificates, an overwater villa resort that would otherwise cost $2,500+ per night.
From dream-like villas with an expansive outdoor deck and oversized plunge pool to a wide array of resort facilities to keep you occupied, this was one of my most memorable hotel stays in recent memory.
Here’s the full review of our memorable three-night stay at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives.

Hey Ricky,
If you already hold an Amex card but want to apply for a new one for the signup bonus, do you apply as an existing cardholder or do you create a new profile? I ask this as some of the signup bonuses only apply for new cardholders, so I tend to always apply as a new cardholder despite having to manage multiple profiles.
Thanks!
I haven’t had any issues with applying as an existing cardholder (Amex tends to know, anyway).
It’s actually a Reef villa. 🙂
OK you got me 😉 But to be fair, the outdoor deck is over the water.
