Meet T.J.

T.J. became a Miles & Points enthusiast out of a curiosity with airport lounges and wondering what it’s like to turn left when boarding an airplane. After quickly meeting his initial goal to fly in business class on his honeymoon in 2018, he has become enthralled with earning and burning points for premium experiences.

At Prince of Travel, T.J. covers a variety of topics. In addition to airline, hotel and lounge reviews, his expertise lies in maximizing elite status benefits and designing complex trip itineraries. He thoroughly enjoys connecting with the Miles & Points community through in-person meetups – especially over a good pint or two.

Since he was young, T.J. has been fascinated with the idea of travel. Each time he steps foot in a new city or country, he is inspired by learning about how others live their lives – the food they eat, the languages they speak, and the things they like most about their environs. He likes a balance of grit and luxury when travelling, although he’s at his best when sipping on something bubbly while enjoying a view.

When not on the road, T.J. loves to explore his home base on Vancouver Island with his wife Ashley and his dog, Blaze. He runs over 70 kilometres every week and is trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon. He speaks Russian and is learning Japanese to aid in his never-ending quest to find the world’s tastiest bowl of ramen.
