So I applied for the Privilege card and was denied. I have an excellent credit and also meet the minimum requirements. I had opened a Visa Infinite small business card last November. I’m not sure why it was declined. Any ideas? What should I do next?
Household income of $172K should be fine. Don’t forget to add any other income (EG: RRSP/TFSA/GIC/STOCK Interest, dividends and stock value increase.
(Even if you don’t cash out RRSP/TFSA/GOC/STOCK it’s still an income.
Your application will count as 1 Hit on your Credit Bureau regardless if you are accepted or denied.
Too many hits (IE: 3 or 4 per 2 years) will reduce your credit score by about 10%. If you do more, it will NOT go done anymore than 10%.
Hey Ricky,
If I apply for this card, but we only have a household income of $172K, but a credit rating of 850, do you think we might get accepted?
Conversely, if we apply and are denied, does this have a negative impact on our credit score?
Cheers!
